Awesome...another fine addition. This brings up a question: How does the program process trailers? In other words, I have Daves setup as my default...does it look at Daves first, then the others...and in what order?

Preferred Plugin - as far as order, it just goes alpabetically I believe since I don't really have an order that it should follow.

After setting my preferred plugin as 'Movie-List.com' and ensuring all my films have IMDB Id's -- has anyone been able to get this plugin to download from the 'Classics' section?

http://www.movie-list.com/classics-alpha.php

Or does this only work for the 'Now Playing' and 'Coming Soon' trailers?

I can't seem to get this working for most of my older films (which i know there are trailers for on Movie-List.com)

Any help would be great :)

On second look, i now realise that the movie on 'Movie-List.com' must have an IMDB link for this work - now while a lot of them don't -- i still can't get the one's that do to download anything, keeps saying 'No trailer found'

Does it have something to do with the quality setting? 480/720/1080 being the only options in MB, the classic trailers on Movie-List dont generally match any of those pre-defined settings.

RE: Movie-List.com Trailers - Added by fatal over 1 year ago

Yes, only movies that have IMDb Link on the page will work, most of the newer moves do, but as u noted, not a lot of the older ones, I need that IMDb ID to get the correct match as I do not want to just match on the title.

As for quality setting yes, only the hd trailers (480 and up) are downloaded, but can you give me some links to movies that don't have hd traielrs that I can look at? The plugin can override the quality settings in metabrowser.

Here are a few that have an IMDB id - but aren't being downloaded presumably because of the quality size.

Let me know how you go - i'd love to be able to automate this process, as I'm currently doing this manually.

Ok, I have updated metabrowser and this plugin as follows:

  • New option in metabrowser (Settings->Movies) to Downlaod next available resolution if preferred resolution is not found
    • This is still going to be hd (1080-480)
  • New option for the movie-list plugin to Download any available trailer
    • it will try to find any available trailer, going from hi-res to low-res
  • If IMDb Id does not exist on the trailer page, it will now look for matching the Title (the one you have defiend as your fetch value in options) and the Production year
    • both must match 100%

It will be available next update.

Is this still planned for release as I don't see the option to "Download any available trialer" under Settings/Movies?

Just purchased the product and am loving it so far. Nice job and please keep the enhancements coming!

RE: Movie-List.com Trailers - Added by fatal over 1 year ago

Hey Rickster,

This is already available in the current version.

If you go to Settings->Movies, there will be a checkbox there that says "Download next available resolution if ....".

Also, for the MovieList.com trailers option to download any available trailer, click on the dropdown for "Preferred Trailer*, there you should see a little Cog icon next to Movie-List Trailers, click on it to configure its option to download any available trailer.

Although in the next version I plan on moving that option to the main Settings->Movies page instead of making it a per-plugin option.

I want MovieList.com trailers option to download any available trailer. So, I did what you said (click on the dropdown for "Preferred Trailer*, there you should see a little Cog icon next to Movie-List Trailers). There is no little cog at all!

I have the latest version of metabrowser.

RE: Movie-List.com Trailers - Added by fatal about 1 year ago

Hey,

The latest release of the plugin changed that, and now the movielist plugin will check for any trailer at any resolution if you have Downlaod next available resolution if preferred resolution is not found checked in Settings->Movies.
