Feature request: subtitle fetching
Added by allineedis almost 2 years ago
Is this an option to consider in the future? Me, myself and I would really like to see this. What would be even the icing on the cake is that all available subtitles will be presented and you can choose which of them will be saved, moved and renamed into your movie folder. Currently there is no such thing out there. Except a mediabrowser plugin or MCM, but they fail in that respect (no option to choose or specify, e.g. 8 out of 10 the DVD subtitle will be downloaded i.o. the Blu-ray subtitle).
What do you all think? Is this something for meta<browser/>?

Yeah, this is something that can be added and is something I plan on doing.
Automatic subtitle retrival is really not an option here as I believe it is very easy to get the wrong subtitles and a manual selection (as you have layed out) would be the best solution.
I will look more into this after TV and Process All is added.

Great news, meta<browser/> is shaping up to be the must have program for HTPC owners!

Would like to add my support for this... This would be a great addition once TV is done :)
As a preference, would be great to see an option to turn on or off subtitle fetching for anything newly added... But always have the "Right click" option... Basically the same way that Download Trailer/s works - only you need to select the correct movie - as you said - its easy to get the wrong subtitles...
Thanks!

Any hope for an update on this?
All other avenues are dead-end except meta browser. But when?

Hey,
I plan on adding subtitle fetching in the next update...but still working on the details and implementation on how it would work best.
