I am having trouble downloading this latest version. I have tried with IE8 and Chrome, but both result in a smaller than usual file that cannot be installed – Windows states that the file is not a valid installer.
Please can you check the source file and re-upload to your site. Thanks. Del
I’ve downloaded it for my home machines (3 times) and all 3 times it downloaded fully and installed correctly, I don’t know why some users are having this issue…I believe it is the download counter/handler I am using that is messing something up with the headers and cutting the download short.
Please retry it, it should eventually work.
Just tried it again, and now it is working. Very strange, as i have never had a single failure before this. Still all OK now. Thanks, Del
I have meta browser installed on my HP EX470 MediaSmart Windows Home Server set up to run as a service so it would periodically check for files in the drop box folder. Having meta browser on the WHS is great because since the server is always running, my files are up to date.
I do have to Remote Desktop into my server to make changes like backgrounds and such. Have you considered writing an addin for WHS ?
Thanks.
how do you configure it after you are running it as a service?
if you are having problems with the default download link inside metabrowser (ie) copy http://themetabrowser.com/download/ into a different browser like firefox and download latest version. it works every time for me
