- Actor images scraper has been fixed (change in html on TMDb)
- Fix of blank fields if no mymovies.xml existed (07.03.09b)
Changes/Additions
- IMDb, TMDb, TVDb ID’s are now links which will take you to their corresponding site
- Running Time is now able to be retrieved by MediaInfo.dll
- Repalced IMDb, TMDb, TVDb links with buttons. IMDb and TMDb ID’s are once again editable (07.03.09b)
Just one note, the TMDb actor download is the SLOWEST part of meta<browser/>, as it is not available through the API, I have to scrape each actor image page to see if an image is available, this is hindered even more because the TMDb website is very slow as well. This is more evident when running a Process All on movies and have checked “Download Actor Images”, for a very large collection this can take an hour or more.
Have a safe and happy 4th!

Testing this now & i see what you mean about the TMDb being slow, the ‘Download Actor Images’ only shows some images. E.G it states that it’s downloading some images but no image is present. The first movie I checked was Fast & Furious (2009), Actors = Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodrigues & Jordana Brewster, meta states downloading for all actors but only 1st & 3rd actualy have images. Might go back to previous build for now :p
I don’t know why some people are having trouble downloading images, maybe it’s timing out, as I was able to download all images for Fast & Furious (2009). But overall I think TMDb has really slowed down, even when downloading posters/backdrops.
The good news is that TMDb has just included actors into their API and now I will not have to scrape their site anymore and should solve the problem some people are having, but it still needs a little tweaking, read my post here: http://forums.themoviedb.org/post/2442/#p2442
Nice, thanks for the reply. Not yet reverted back to previous build so may stick with it hoping that it is just a glitch with TMDb
Also, is there a way for metabrowser to save DVDID.XML files for Windows 7 ‘Movie Library’?
No, it does not have support for Vista/Win 7 dvd library.
